Nestled in the North Eastern Cape Drakensberg Mountains of South Africa, just south of the Orange River, you will find the quaint little village of Lady Grey. At the foot hills of these Drakensberg Mountains, lies a piece of Africa where you will find "Atokia Boerdery" a home to "The Drakensberger" cattle breed.
At the head of "Atokia Boerdery" is Mr. Willem Botha; born a farmer's son from Cradock, a true farmer by nature and an Industrial Chemist by profession. While working on the gold and platinum mines throughout South Africa as a Chemist, he began to invest in to his passion and this was the birth of "Atokia Boerdery" on the farm Paardeverlies. Since his retirement from Anglo Platinum, Mr. Botha is full time at the head of all the farming activities of "Atokia Boerdery". The family herds of "Drakensbergers" is on a steady annual increase and with his passion for farming and love for his animals, their success has been inevitable.
